Junior High School 48, Jakarta began as SMPN 19th parallel in 1965 located in "Hall of Stars" way Ciputat Raya Kebayoran Lama Kebayoran Lama Pecan and Marsh.
In 1966 SMP 48 Jakarta, occupies the building of new schools on the road Raya No.42 Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, along with SMA 6 Filial until the year 1969.
In 1970, six high schools into high schools Filial stand on their own 29 which is located in Kebayoran Lama Kramat road until recently.
Since the year 1966 till now, SMP 48 Jakarta is the Local Government Asset Jakarta Special Capital City.
